Scripts not working after upgrade to 5.x

I have a number of scripts which are preventing me from moving over to the new 5.x environment.  These same scripts worked just fine within my 4.02 environment.

I took these scripts and saved them with the new CRS editor under 5.x. I have used the sample script AA.aef from 5.x and modified it to the same format as my 4.x and that still fails.

Would anyone have any ideas what else I can try to fix this issue.  Unfortunately, I can’t find how to upload the scripts that are having an issue.

    Thanks

    Youri

    Youri,

There are several things you can look at to determine why the scripts are failing.  You mentioned that you have created/modified the scripts in the CRS editor for CRS 5.0(2).

    1.  What build are you on?  Goto Help > About in App admin, let me know what build you are on.

    2.  If you open the scripts in the CRS Editor and click on Tools > Validate - do the scripts validate without any errors? Does a pop-up box say "Script validated successfully"?

    3.  When you upload the problems to the Script Management page in CRS 5.x, did you refresh both the script and the application?

    4.  Can you dial into the scripts?  If you dial the JTAPI Trigger assigned to the application, do you get to a welcome prompt in the script or the first step in the script or does the script ring twice and you hear the default script ( aka, a snotty ladies voice saying you have an error )?

    5.  Do you know how to run a Reactive debug on your scripts?  Have you ran it on the scripts in question?  If so what step is causing the error?  If you don't know how to run a reactive debug, look in the media section of this website under CRS 5.x Scripting, there is the CRS 5.0 Script Editor Reference guide volume 1,2,3... in Volume 1 it talks about how to run the reactive debug.

    6.  If all of the above checks out with no issues, I want you to call into the three applications from an IP Phone, as soon as you have simulated the errors, go to the C:\program files\wfavvid\logs folder on the CRS Server.  Inside that directory you will see some log files called "CiscoXXXXMIVRXXX.log.  The important thing to do is get the MIVR logs for the time period when you called into the scripts.  Shoot the error logs to me at alex@hannahtechnologies.com.  I can take a look and see if I see the error in the logs.

If that checks out, I can do a MeetingPlace session with you and look at your server to see if I see the problem.  I am also looking at your scripts now to see if I can see the errors.

    Alex
